Venue description

The building that presently houses Stodoła was built by students in 1972, and is has 2,500 square meters of space and capacity to hold over 2,000 concert-goers. This is the fifth place the Club has called home. At first, Stodoła was located in the heart of Warsaw by the Palace of Culture & Science in a barrak originally occupied by construction workers who were rebuilding Warsaw after the destruction of WWII. From its beginning in 1956, Stodoła was run by students and for students to promote creativity and the performing arts. The Stodoła Cabaret, theatrical productions and Poland's first traditional jazz bands got their start here. Over the years many people and generations of artists have enriched the Club's history, and shaped the culture of Warsaw itself.

Stodoła's current interior was introduced in 1997, and is characterized by bright colours and rich textures.

Ground floor

The hallway

The distinctive design of the hallway has become the Club's signature look. The main feature of this large ante-room is a large staircase which sometimes becomes part of the stage for performances. Here you will find an impressive ceiling, connected to the floor by a huge illuminated column. Just past this is the club's biggest bar, just outside the main concert floor. It is opened only during events and serves all visitors who are "of age". In addition to a wide variety of alcoholic beverages served, there are both hot and cold snacks, finger foods and other refreshments available.

The Main Performance Hall

The biggest hall in the Club, this is here where the main part of the Saturday and Sunday parties will happen. It's universal, safe and is equipped with a lighting system for concerts and discos, screen, multimedial projector. With a legal maximum capacity of about 1200 people the most popular acts can really pack in a crowd... and at Stodola the crowd is an energetic and demanding one!! For VIPs and press, a balcony runs along the north wall of the concert hall. Smoking and carrying drinks in the main hall are forbidden.

The Patio

On the warm summer nights of Warsaw, our guests flock to the covered patio just across from the bar to cool off with a drink in between acts. Adding to the gothic garden atmosphere is a 30-meter-high yew tree which grows in the corner, with green ivy covering the surrounding walls and a host of other shrubs and greens throughout. Though it is most popular during the summer months, a specially designed roof and heating system make the patio comfortable for our guests all year long.

First Floor

Upper Level - Main Bar

This bar duplicates the style and decor of the first floor, but in the shape of the letter "L". Sitting at a table in the Upper Main Bar, guests have a bird's-eye view of the main hall and patio below. During the concerts music can be heard here, too. The Upper Bar serves mainly alcohol beverages.

Upper Disco

This is the second dancefloor of the Festival, where Bachata and Kizomba will be played. The upper banquet hall and upper bar are connected by the upper level disco, the club's second dance floor. It has a separate sound system and disco lights.

Banquet Hall

In this hall you can rest after dancing. It has eclectically painted and illuminated walls, and is furnished with leather sofas and armchairs lending to a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
