La 33 (Bogotá/ Columbia)- the concert of one of the greatest stars of salsa music.

LA 33

This year’s festival will provide you with more musical and esthetic events than the previous editions. Apart from numerous shows of the artists from the entire world and the rumba jam session, the Friday party will include the concert of one of the most famous salsa big bands- the Columbian group LA 33, known for the hit La Pantera Mambo.

The band is inspired by the unique street salsa from the 70’s, which we all love to dance to. The concert will give us the opportunity not only to listen to the music, but also to enrich our salsa experience in the contact with the live, frequently improvised music and to dance with the band, which will even more strengthen our passion.

LA 33 was established from the initiative of two brothers, Sergio and Santiago Meija, in 2002. Along with the group of friends, who played Rock, Jazz, Reggae and Ska, they met in the house on the La 33 street on the rehearsals. The name of the band derives from the number of the house in which, after 3 years of meeting, the material for their first album, “La-33”, was prepared. The album was published by an independent record label and turned out to be an enormous success. It was sold in more than 20 thousand copies in the entire world thanks to such hits as La Pantera Mambo or Soledad.

LA 33

In 2005, ‘La-33’ was announced the album of the year and the songs La Pantera Mambo, La-33, Que rico Boogaloo, Suelta el Bongo outdistanced the hits of such artists as Marc Anthony or Los Van Van.

During the last 3 years, the group gave concerts on more than 500 stages in Columbia, South America and Europe, on various festivals in Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, England and Spain, so now it is time to visit Poland.
